Helium and hydrogen used in different industry are both critical to the development of the society. Helium as one of the non-renewable and non-replaceable resources is important to both medical and semiconductor industry as well as critical to space exploration and many scientific experiments. Hydrogen on the other hand can be produced through industrial processes but the current dominant processes marks either a high carbon emission or high cost of production. It is therefore a significant step to find helium and hydrogen resources that yields high percentage of targeted gas and with low carbon association. Strategic and systematic exploration of the resources starting from understanding and classification of the systems. The two systems shares much similarity but yet differences. Modelling methods developed for helium exploration can be used to support the exploration of both gases if tailored to their specific geological environment and gas properties. Numerical modelling, though with uncertainties, is a cheap and quick method to investigate the hypothesis of the different systems and to support decision makings for exploration projects.
